Polyamide
Polyamide is a thermoplastic material made of nylon polymers. Known as a versatile material, it is recognized for its high durability, lightness, and chemical resistance. Nylon 6/6 and Nylon 6 are the most commonly used types of polyamide and are often used in automotive, electronics, and industrial applications. It is also a more sustainable option from an environmental perspective as it is recyclable.
Ketamite
Ketamite is a recyclable thermoplastic material. It is typically made from a polymer called polyetherketoneketone (PEKK). Due to its high strength, temperature resistance, and chemical resistance, it is used in industries such as aviation, space, and defense.
Polyethylene
Polyethylene is a thermoplastic polymer with two main types: low-density polyethylene (LDPE) and high-density polyethylene (HDPE). LDPE is a flexible and soft material, often used in products such as packaging materials, bags, bottles, and plastic containers. HDPE is a harder and more durable material, preferred for heavier-duty applications such as pipes, containers, and furniture. Polyethylene is widely used due to its low cost, lightness, and recyclability.
Technical Materials
Technical materials used in recycling are made from recyclable materials that are designed to be reused during the recycling process. Recyclable materials include glass, plastic, paper, metal, and electronic waste. Recycling these materials is an environmentally important practice as it uses less energy during the recycling process and reduces waste. Reusing recyclable materials helps prevent the depletion of natural resources and reduces environmental pollution.
Granules
Recycling granules are materials obtained by grinding and breaking down recyclable plastics into small pieces after various processes. These granules are sold as reusable raw materials for use in various industries. Recycling granules are a more sustainable option from an environmental perspective as they are produced using less energy than virgin plastic materials.
ABS
ABS is an acronym for Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene. This thermoplastic polymer has a hard and durable structure and is resistant to most chemicals. This material is often used in the production of toys, phones, home appliances, cars, as well as coating materials and medical devices.
PC
Polycarbonate (PC) is a durable, hard, and transparent thermoplastic. This material is often used in products such as CDs, roofing materials, bike helmets, and eyeglass lenses. Polycarbonate is also used in the construction industry due to its fire-retardant properties.
POM
POM, also known as Polyoxymethylene, is a plastic used for its high durability and hardness. This material is used for gear, bearing, bushing, and cable connection elements.
PS
Polystyrene (PS) is a hard, transparent, and easily moldable thermoplastic. This material is commonly used in products such as disposable cups, containers, trays, and packaging materials. It can also be produced in foam form and used in cooling packaging materials for the food and beverage industry.
LDPE
LDPE stands for Low Density Polyethylene. Due to its flexible and durable structure, this material is commonly used in packaging materials such as plastic bags, covers, garbage bags, and tube caps. It is also used in water pipes, electrical cables, and in the agriculture industry.
